Agriturismo La Chiusa
La Chiusa is a typical Tuscan stone farm house in the Casentino Forests National Park. Featuring a simple and authentic environment, it is ideal for your holidays on a farm, close to nature but not too far from a city. It is situated between Florence and Arezzo on the Apennines at 2.200 feet altitude.
The farm was founded in the nineteenth century. The original building, however, is much older and dates back to the early decades of the eleventh century, which was originally an ancient oratory of the Camaldolese.
On part of the farm there was an ancient drying room (Seccatoio) for chestnuts, which has been converted into a guest house with three bedrooms with private bathroom.
Living here our guests are surrounded by very extensive woods and meadows.
Our family has been living here since 1989 and, after renovating with care and respect for the Tuscan tradition, we began to host in the year 2000. It has been, and we are sure it will be, a wonderful experience that allows us to meet very various people and to enrich ourselves with so many different cultures and traditions.
