DISCOVERING TEXTILE FIBERS

Olfactory and tactile experiences with textile fibers and microscopic observation. The laboratory is aimed at making known and distinguishing natural, vegetable and animal textile fibers, comparing them with synthetic ones. We will teach to recognize the different fibers to the touch and smell, we will examine yarns and fabrics of different compositions. In the second part of the laboratory the magnification of the fibers under the microscope will be observed.
